Oscar Isaac Reteaming with Director Alex Garland for Annihilation

According to The Tracking Board (via Screen Rant), Oscar Isaac (Ex Machina, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and writer/director Alex Garland (Ex Machina) will be teaming back up for a sci-fi thriller, Annihilation.  The script will be adapted by Garland from the novel of the same name by Jeff VanderMeer.  The movie will also feature Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tessa Thompson and Gina Rodriquez.  Read on below for a synopsis. Disney To Develop Live Action Movie About Snow White’s Sister

Surprisingly it’s been a while since the last report of a Disney animated classic being remade into a live action film.  There was a stretch where it seemed like every other week there was a new film in the works including (but likely not limited to)  Beauty and the Beast , Dumbo, Genie (from Aladdin),Prince Charming, Winnie the Pooh, Sword in the Stone,  Mulan,Pinocchio, Night on Bald Mountain and Cruella (101 Dalmatians).  That list is in addition to the previously released Alice in Wonderland (and this year’s sequel), Maleficent, Cinderella and Jungle Book coming out next month.  A new title has joined the list based on the classic tale of Snow White.  Read on below for more details. Kevin Hart and Bryan Cranston Circling The Intouchables Remake

The unfortunate reputation that the American movie-going public has is that we can’t tolerate subtitles and therefore do not support foreign films.  It’s a shame how many quality foreign movies perform poorly stateside, only to receive an inferior American remake shortly afterwards.  That said, I’m really hoping that this remake doesn’t follow the trend because the original was solid (yes, I’ve seen it and try to watch as many acclaimed foreign movies as i can).  According to Collider, The Weinstein Co. is remaking the French movie The Intouchables with Bryan Cranston and Kevin Hart in talks to star.  Read more about it below. Did Ben Affleck Write a Batman Movie Script?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opened last weekend, and despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and fans the film itself made a ton of money at the box office.  Warner Bros. must be breathing a huge sigh of relief since the future of their superhero properties (and they have quite the extensive film slate set up following Batman v Superman) hinged on the reception of this movie.  No matter what was said about the positively or negatively, one aspect that was universally praised was Ben Affleck’s version of Bruce Wayne/Batman.  What does the future hold for Affleck in the role and what will be the extent of his involvement behind the scenes in future movies involving the Caped Crusader?  Read on to find out.
