Variety is reporting that Elizabeth Debicki, Robert Pattinson and John David Washington have signed on for Christopher Nolan’s next movie.
Few people in Hollywood today have the track record of Christopher Nolan to be able to create an event movie atmosphere around a film with the simple announcement that they are working on a new project. Nolan has been on a successful run since the completion of the critically and commercially successful Dark Knight trilogy with Inception, Interstellar and Dunkirk to accompany a back catalog including such gems as Memento and The Prestige. He has my money until he produces his first dud.
Nothing is known about the movie to date apart from one insider describing it as a massive action blockbuster that will again be shown in Imax (Variety), a format Nolan has stuck to since The Dark Knight. Now Elizabeth Debicki (Widows, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2), Robert Pattinson (Twilight series) and John David Washington (Blackkklansman) will be joining the secretive project.
While not much is yet known, I will be sure to inform you of any new information that breaks so stay tuned. Nolan’s next film is slotted to arrive in theaters July 17, 2020.
