More from D23.  In case you haven’t been paying attention to social media much the past few months, Disney has been making plans to adapt much of its successful classic animation catalog into live action films.  After the success of Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent and Cinderella, Disney has not greelit Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, Dumbo, Mulan, Winnie the Pooh, Prince Charming, Night on Bald Mountain, Genie (from Aladdin), Tinker Belle, and likely more that I’m forgetting at the moment.   At the D23 Disney Expo this weekend director Jon Favreau (Iron Man) provided some footage and discussed the film for those in attendance. Toy Story 4 to be Love Story About Woody and Bo Peep

More from D23 (check out the Gigantic presentation here, Finding Dory here, Pan posters here, Marvel’s Civil War and Doctor Strange here, and photos from the showroom floor here).  Pixar had quite a big to display at this year’s Disney Expo with movies like The Good Dinosaur, Finding Dory, Cars 3, Incredibles 2 (I was hoping for a synopsis), Coco (previously Day of the Dead) and Toy Story 4.  Pixar has stated that they intend to make an average of one original feature per year so it was surprising that so many sequels were being announced by the studio.  Even more shocking was that toy Story 4 was among them.  That’s not because Toy Story 3 was bad or under-performed, but due to how perfectly that movie tied up the story for all of the characters.  At the Disney Expo they provided some details of what we can expect from the new movie, and how it will keep the beloved series fresh.
